Can I limit the permissions a user has on a specific project?

Semaphore organizations make it easy for you to give different permissions to the members of your team.

In order to be able to limit the permissions certain users have on a project, you need to be included in the Owners team of your Semaphore organization. Owners can create teams, and then change their permissions for all projects.

Changing team permissions

To change a team’s permissions, you need to take the following steps:

  1. Click on Account next to your username in the main menu.

  2. Choose the Organizations tab and select the organization you would like to manage.

  3. On the left side of your organization page, under Manage Organization, click on Teams.

  4. Select the team for which you would like to change user permissions by clicking on the team name.

  5. Click on edit team under Permission level

  6. Select the desired permission level and click on Update Team.

You can also change a user’s permissions by adding them to an existing team with the desired permissions.
